KMUZ Wishes you and yours a happy holiday season – whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, Solstice or Kwanzaa or nothing at all – the longest nights of the year are about reflecting, restoring and giving.

As we reflect, KMUZ is grateful for all the giving that helped this local community-run radio station get on the air and stay on the air for eight years. And with the recent two-part $60,000 “power up” grant from the Oregon Community Foundation, over 300,000 people can tune in on their radios to hear community news, local culture and all kinds of music. We hope you will be part of what makes KMUZ thrive for many years to come.

Two ways you can help:

ONE: Include KMUZ in your year-end-giving. Your contribution is tax-deductible and if you contribute an equal amount to the Oregon Cultural Trust, your contribution becomes a tax credit (culturaltrust.org). To make a donation on-line, go to kmuz.org and look for the “Contribute Now” button at the top of the page. To send a check: KMUZ-FM P.O. Box 12038 Salem OR 97309.

TWO: Here is a win/win/win: Purchase tickets to the Pentacle Theatre’s Murder on the Orient Express for Wed. Jan. 22nd (KMUZ benefit night). With your $25 ticket purchase, KMUZ gets all the proceeds, you support another great community endeavor and you get a great live theatrical experience. Buy tickets at pentacletheatre.org. Or contact the station between 10 am and 2 pm at 503.990.6091. Good gift-giving an idea!

Thank you and happy new year!
