Underwriting with KMUZ
KMUZ welcomes support from businesses and organizations aligned with our mission. Be part of the mid-Willamette valley’s community radio station through underwriting. Our 88.5 FM signal reaches east Marion County to Monmouth/Independence and into north Albany. 100.7 FM reaches Salem and Keizer and can be heard as far as Woodburn. We currently estimate our listenership to be about 4,000 listeners. As we grow, KMUZ has the potential to reach 235,000 people.
When you contribute to KMUZ, we will acknowledge your support with on-air mentions and list you as a sponsor on our website. We call this “underwriting.” Underwriting is not advertising, but it is tax-deductible because KMUZ-FM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. An on-air mention is 15-20 seconds in length and informs our listeners about your product or service and lets them know how to contact you. It’s a low-cost alternative to other promotional means and targets your message to local residents. Plus, it shows that you care about your community.
KMUZ is a community-supported, locally-focused, volunteer-run radio broadcaster, whose mission is to celebrate the people, culture and civic life of the mid-Willamette Valley. KMUZ produces programs that showcase local public affairs, cultural experiences, and music without traditional commercials.

Nonprofit and public agencies get the added benefit of Enhanced Public Service Announcements (EPSAs). EPSAs are longer in length and allow for additional types of information. If this is you, ask about the advantages of an EPSA.
Additional Perks: Website & FB presence, Radio Free America equals more mentions, Posting on Archives page for sponsorship of public affairs programming.
