KMUZ – FM is a community radio broadcaster serving the mid-Willamette Valley. KMUZ is the voice for those not represented by commercial radio or other media. KMUZ broadcasts at 88.5 and 100.7 FM, streams at www.kmuz.org and can be heard on smartphones and tablets with a Tune-in Radio app.
KMUZ currently serves a potential 235,000 listeners in Salem/Keizer and other parts of the mid-Willamette Valley from Woodburn to Albany and Dallas to Stayton.
KMUZ is an “educational” station, by FCC definition, and is not tied to any nationally syndicated public system. KMUZ strives to engage its audience with locally produced content and to offer residents the opportunity to express their passion by hosting music and public affairs programs.
KMUZ is a station whose emphasis is toward the local community at large as well as the unrepresented and eclectic listener. Our music offering will be balanced with a commitment to community service programming.
KMUZ is volunteer-powered, non-commercial and is funded by local underwriters, grants, and our incredible listeners. With this support, KMUZ will work to keep the airwaves diverse and interesting.
