Polk County social service organizations combine the annual "homeless count" -- a requirement for federal funding -- with a day-long effort to bring together those in need and the organizations and individuals who can provide at least some of the assistance they require. It’s called the Polk County Connect. Four of us from KMUZ Radio were there this year. This is our report about what we saw and heard.
