Willamette Wake Up 08/06/2019 — New Salem Police Station Update
Show Notes
Construction supervisors working on the new Salem police building gave an update on progress of the public-safety center that’s going up on the near north side of the capital city’s downtown area. After voters approved a 62-million-dollar bond issue in the spring of 2017, the site was chosen and cleared, and now the framework of a towering three-story complex fills the lot, as the builders and planners celebrated its “topping out.” KMUZ host Stella Shaffer went to cover the update and interview a police official about the plans to move in.
