The Santiam community was hit hard by the Beachie Creek and Lionshead fires last Sept. Linn and Marion county officials wanted to hear what went well & what needs to be improved to be bettered prepared for the next emergency response. Recently a community debrief was held and Ken Cartwright of KYAC Community Radio in Mill City sums up the findings: early warning, general communication, and actual maps were part of the conversation.
