The Forum - 08/17/2018 - The Big Job of Redistricting - Part 1
Show Notes
You can move around puzzle pieces, but people move themselves. With another federal census coming up in less than two years, we’ll learn where our population grew or shrank, where the people have changed in number…and how lawmakers are going to have to re-draw the political boundaries of voting districts. Political power rests in that redistricting process, and this week on The Forum we’ll hear how they anticipate that big job will be tackled. All it represents is money, power, and our state’s voice – our “clout” in Washington. This is the first of two programs on the history, the future, and the legal context of redistricting.
