Oregon Federal Waivers to Improve Health Care for Vulnerable Oregonians

Show Notes

A Medicaid waiver is a way to fine-tune the federal program that helps this state provide medical care to low-income Oregonians. In Oregon the waivers let us provide special care for people who are medically fragile, elderly, mentally ill, or need support services outside the clinic or hospital. In this panel of experts, hosted by the Oregon Health Forum (project of The Lund Rpt), which includes former Governor John Kitzhaber, explained what we’re aiming for in a new waiver.
