The Salem-Keizer chapter of the NAACP presented "Ignite, Illuminate & Bring Heat" on March 31, 2021. This online panel of local women spoke to what it's like to be a Black woman in Salem and their role in fighting for racial justice and equity. The presenters are: Sylvia McDaniel, Communications for Salem-Keizer Schools; Nakeia Council-Daniels, Oregon Youth Authority; Rev. Dr. Marilyn Williams, Pastor Mission Faith Ministries and Prof. Robin Collins, Willamette University College of Law.
