In January of 2021 we lost one of the most beloved artists in our community: Leo James Kirk; James Kirk. He leaves behind his daughters Linda and Nancy and his wife of some 47 years, Alice. And he leaves us behind as well, the artists of the mid-Willamette Valley who have come to know him as watercolorist, teacher, mentor and friend. He was 95 years of age and come this July 17th he would have been 96.
Talking about Art is presented every 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month.
It's the mission of Talking about Art to be a resource for artists and all those who relish and support the arts in our community. Through my programming, I wish to provide in-depth interviews and stories about the artists, writers, and poets of our community.
