This week on the Forum we're sharing Willamette University's annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration and lecture, featuring keynote speaker Dr Nicholas Grier, currently a visiting professor at the Willamette University law school and author of "CARE for the MENTAL and SPIRITUAL HEALTH of BLACK MEN." The lecture titled, “We Need Rest!,” focuses on the importance of rest in our lives and dismantling systems of oppression and circumstances that prevent people from resting. He talks about community healing and finding a black perspective & place in the harmony of society. He also plays the piano!
