Willamette Wake Up 12/27/2016 -- How Can We Identify and Effectively Assist the Most Vulnerable Among the Homeless?
Show Notes
There is a long-standing need for coordination among the social service providers in our community, and the prevalence of "chronic homelessness" in Marion and Polk Counties today is more than twice the national average. Jimmy Jones at the Mid-Willamette Community Action Agency wants to change that. Michael Livingston talks with Jimmy about the 400 assessments of homeless citizens that he's completed so far during the five months he's been with Community Action and what that data is telling us about the needs of the most vulnerable among the homeless and what social service agencies will need to do to address those needs effectively.
