Michael Chenault, Treasurer of the Salem/Keizer Branch of the NAACP, talks about the upcoming Juneteenth Celebration. Juneteenth celebrates the second emancipation of slaves in the US. On June 19, 1865, people in Texas learned of their emancipation from the Union army. Chenault also talked about the many accomplishments of the local chapter over the past year.
