TWELFTH NIGHT opens April 22 and auditions for TERRA NOVA happen April 30 at Pentacle Theatre
Show Notes
Twelfth Night, by William Shakespeare, directed by Isaac Joyce-Shaw, runs April 22 to May 14, at Pentacle Theatre. It's a story of love, lust, mistaken identity, gender exploration and la dolce vita. When Viola is shipwrecked on the coast of Illyria, and believes their brother Sebastian is lost at sea, Viola sets out to make a new life in this strange land. Presenting as a young man named Cesario, they take a job at the court of Duke Orsino and quickly get caught in the middle of a love triangle between the Duke and the Lady Olivia. Viola/Cesario meets an array of exciting and exuberant characters as the plot twists and turns. With immersive video and soundscape design, Twelfth Night is sure to entertain.
Open auditions for Terra Nova, by Ted Tally, directed by Scott Ramp, are April 30 at Pentacle Theatre. In the winter of 1911-12, five Englishmen and five Norwegians raced each other to the bottom of the Earth. Only the Norwegians returned. Terra Nova is the story of the brave British expedition and their leader, Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, recounted in a mixture of fantasy and realism that reveals both the human and epic qualities of the challenging adventure. For details go online to pentacletheatre.org/auditions.
