2018 Mid-Term Election Analysis: Professor Ed Dover

Show Notes

Western Oregon University’s professor emeritus Ed Dover has written six books on the presidency and has now addressed the Salem City Club ten times. He was invited back for the 2020 election, during his recent presentation, as he analyzed the turnout, the topics, and the outcome of this month’s election for the City Club members. One thing he’s found – as recently as 2010 the balance of political power in the state house of representatives was evenly balanced, at 30 Democratic and 30 Republican members…but in the last four election cycles since then, Democrats pulled ahead by eight members, taking them from Republicans.  He’ll discuss the patterns and meanings of the 2018 national, Oregon, and Mid-Valley elections, in this week’s edition of The Forum.
