Salem Payroll Tax Goes to the Voters

Salem City Council passed an employee-paid payroll tax in July to be immediately implemented to address the city's budget deficit. People who wanted a vote of residents got the issue put on the Nov 2023 ballot. City Councilor Virginia Stapleton and Citizen Budget Committee member Paul Tigan discuss the implications and a campaign to get support for the new revenue source, called Save Salem.
