In honor of Religious Freedom Day (Jan 16), Gus Fredrick, Silverton amateur historian and author, tells the story of Liberal University of Oregon in the late 1800s. Frederick successfully completed a fundraiser to digitalize articles from "Torch of Reason", a regular publication out of Liberal University of Oregon that operated in Silverton in the late 1800's.
