Eleanor Berry – Works of Wildfire Part 2
Poetry On The Air
Eleanor Berry - Works of Wildfire Part 2
Show Notes
Part 2 of a conversation with Eleanor Berry, who reads from and discusses poems in her latest collection, Works of Wildfire, written in the wake of the devastating Beachie Creek Fire that swept through the Santiam Canyon in late summer 2020, destroying virtually everything in its path. Eleanor and her husband Richard lost their home and property, as did many others in western Oregon that summer. These prize-winning poems are beautiful, powerfully understated meditations on loss and renewal, both personal and ecological.
