City of Salem: Ordinance on Homelessness and Human Rights Commission Survey

Gretchen Bennett, City of Salem liaison for unhoused residents and staff person for the Human Rights Commission, addressed a proposed ordinance and a survey. The proposed ordinance reworks how the city manages use of public property by unhoused residents to be aligned with Oregon law. Then Bennett explains the mission of the city's Human Rights Commission and a survey being conducted to help the commission understand how Salem is doing with respect to being a welcoming city.
